As of March 31, 2026, Wheaton Precious Metals had $2.2 billion in cash and no debt outstanding under its Revolving Facility. That changed on April 1, 2026, when the company made a $4.3 billion upfront payment to expand its Antamina silver stream with BHP.
The deal was financed with cash on hand, a new $1.5 billion two-year term loan, and roughly $0.9 billion drawn on Wheaton’s existing $2 billion revolving credit facility.
On a pro forma basis following the transaction, Wheaton held a net debt position of about $2.1 billion, roughly 0.7 times net debt to EBITDA. Management has flagged accelerated debt repayment plans later in 2026.
