Portfolio Manager/Security Analyst, Principal Vijay Shankaran has been a portfolio manager/security analyst at Turner Investment Partners since 2006. He is the lead manager for Turner's Global Medical Sciences strategy and co-manager for Turner's Long/Short, Select Opportunities, Spectrum, and Healthcare and Biotechnology strategies. Mr. Shankaran has nine years of investment experience and covers stocks in the health care sector. Prior to joining Turner Investment Partners, Mr. Shankaran was employed by Caxton Associates, MedImmune, Inc., and RiverVest Ventures. Mr. Shankaran graduated from Dartmouth College with an AB in Chemistry. He then received his MD and PhD in Immunology from Washington University School of Medicine and received his MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Shankaran is an affiliate member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia. Turner Investment Partners is an employee-owned investment-management firm based in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. As of December 31, 2009, the firm managed approximately $17.7 billion in equity investments for institutions and individuals.
